Agence France Trésor announces today the launch of the new OAT€i 0.95% 25 July 2043. After the opening of the order book on Wednesday morning and its completion at midday, total demand reached more than €40bn, of which €4bn were allocated.
The price has been set at 99.41, reflecting a real yield of 0.948%.
Lead managers for this operation were BNP Paribas, Citi, Crédit Agricole CIB, HSBC, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley. All the primary dealers were part of the syndicate.
The allocation illustrates a large order book arising from a very diversified investor base. More than 200 final investors took part in the transaction. The syndicated amount has been allocated to banks for 30%, asset managers for 23%, official institutions for 22%, pension funds for 13%, insurers for 9% and hedge funds for 3% .
The geographical distribution reflects a strong demand from European investors for French government inflation-indexed bonds with long maturities, with France representing 46%, the United Kingdom 23%, other euro area countries 22%, Nordics 7%, and the rest of the world 2%.

The settlement date for the OAT€i is 29 May 2024. The bond will be strippable and quoted on Euronext Paris. It will be tapped to guarantee sufficient market liquidity, and depending on market demand.
