Agency France Tresor states that the financing programme for the year 2001 is not altered. The amount of BTANs and OATs issued will actually reach about 91.5bn by year end (this amount does not include the 2.5bn of 2012 OATei issued in exchange for the same amount of 2009 OATi). The amounts bought back will represent around 12.5bn.
Any further State financing need in excess of the 2001 financing programme as published at the beginning of this year will therefore have been covered either by larger BTF issuance, or by smaller cash deposits.
