Christine Lagarde, Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment, has approved Scotiabank Europe, a subsidiary of the Canadian bank of Nova Scotia, as primary dealer (SVT), on recommendation by a selecting committee and proposal by the Directorate General of the Treasury.

The list now has 19 names or 4 French banks, 8 European banks, 6 North American banks, one Japanese. This decision reinforces the geographical diversity of the primary dealers team  and confirms the attractiveness of the French sovereign debt, in the Euro debt market.
