Philippe Mills AFT Chief Executive
Philippe Mills has been appointed chief executive of Agence France Trésor in January 2008. He is a graduate of IEP (Institute of Political Science, Paris) and ENA. Philippe Mills was Deputy Director General in the Centre d’Analyse Stratégique, a service attached to the Prime Minister.
After different functions as an economist within the Ministry of Finance, he was also principal banker at the EBRD. He was also appointed advisor to the Director General of Economic and Financial Affairs at the European Commission (2000-2003). From 2004 to 2006, he was Deputy assistant secretary in charge of Public Finance at the Directorate General of the Treasury and Economic Policy.
Anthony Requin AFT Deputy Chief Executive
Anthony Requin has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive of Agence France Trésor in August 2009. Agence France Trésor (AFT) is the department with national scope, tasked with handling public debt and treasury management, reporting to the Head of the Treasury and Economic Policy Directorate. M.Anthony Requin is a graduate of Ecole nationale d’administration (ENA), and Institute d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC). He joined the Treasury, now named the Directorate General of Treasury and Economic Policy (DGTPE), in 1998 where he held different positions in the Multilateral Affairs Division and in the State Shareholding Agency. He was advisor for France at the IMF and then Alternate Director for France at the Word Bank (2002-2005). From 2006 to 2009 he held the position of head of the Insurance Products and Markets Division at the DGTPE.
